Georgia - The Rose Revolution
Far away and not so long ago Georgia (the country!) had its Rose Revolution. The western media watched, off and on, from the comfort over their TV dinners at home. They rid themselves of their Russian affiliated leader Shevarnadze and voted 97% for the Harvard educated Saakashvilli. Most of the world thought, “Oh, OK.”
Of course the problem is that when the media watches itself from the comfort of their couches things may not be quite as they seem. Why do you think that Israel keeps journalists out of Gaza? Why do you thinK the GW Bush military kept out (as best they could) journalists from the siege on the Holy City of Fallujah and the siege on Sadr City? Why do you think that President Bush Sr. had journalists kept out of Panama City with his huge 26,000 strong air and land siege to capture Noriega on drug charges?!
You do see where I'm going with this, I hope. The Rose Revolution was a manufactured take over orchestrated by the American CIA. A completely illegal operation.
Ambassador Richard Miles along with the CIA planned the revolution from early in 2002. The CIA allegedly was in Georgia in numbers fighting al Queda (the Data) {like any terrorist organization would call themselves that). Apparently al Queda exists only in the data of the CIA. Another story!
It's basically the same old story enacted by the CIA. Finance false stories in the media in Georgia, try to promote unrest, hire thugs to turn up the gas on demonstrations, make the 'enemy' look monstrous.
This the CIA did and pushed their Havard freind into power and turn the government pro-American. The new Georgian President Saakashvilli leaned heavily to promote 'American Interests' in the Caucasus.
In complete disregard for agreements with Russia about the integrity of Russia's borders the Americans moved many troops into Georgia and trained the Georgian military and armed them with American arms. Certainly not very subtle but the media seemed, for the most part, to miss these indicators. Under American tutorship, Saakashvilli began energising the Georgian population against Russia and promoted the EU and NATO as well as the USA.
Suddenly and suspiciously the Georgian Prime Minister, Zhvania died of carbon monoxide poisoning which was blamed upon a poorly vented gas heater. Almost immediately the deaths in this apartment of Zhvania and Usupov (deputy governor of Georgia's Kvemo Kartli region) were promotive as accidental. The family of Zhvania questioned the official line and were sure that the men had been assassinated.
Saakashvilli, with his CIA advisers and his many American military advisers and his newly trained and equipped military made war upon the breakaway province of South Ossetia for no apparent reason. The invasion was very American in nature and many civilians were caught unaware. South Ossetia had no military so the military was killing (murdering) civilian Georgians who preferred Russia over Georgia. Even FOX News carried the interview of a girl thanking the Russians for coming in and allowing hem to escape to Russia away from the assault by the American trained and armed Georgian military.
